Dr. Kathy Werner is a board certified Family Medicine doctor who was born and raised in the Pittsburgh/Penn Hills area. She attended Washington and Jefferson College and dual majored in Biology and English. She went to University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and then completed her residency at St Margaret’s Memorial Hospital.
She started at Associates in Family Medicine which became Renaissance Family Medicine and then finally UPMC Renaissance Family Medicine. She finds herself extremely fortunate to be surrounded by a group of intelligent, dedicated and compassionate physicians. Her specific interests include women’s health, breast cancer, diabetes and adolescence medicine.
After 30 years of practicing, she has a wide variety of wonderful patients ranging from 2 months to 101 years old. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband, 4 children and shelter dog Joker.
