Dr. Jonathan Powell joined Renaissance Family Practice Glenshaw/Gibsonia after completing his residency in Family Medicine at UPMC St. Margaret. Originally from Franklin, Virginia, Dr. Powell attended the University of Virginia, majoring in economics, and later returned to UVA to attend medical school. During his clinical rotations, he witnessed the benefits achieved by caring for families as a whole through Family Medicine. Dr. Powell enjoys working with patients of all ages, through all of life’s stages, and their families. He also frequently provides extended care for Renaissance patients during their recovery and treatment in a local nursing home and for some in an assisted living facility. Finally, Dr. Powell administers home visits for eligible patients who are unable to make it to the office.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, all things exercise – especially basketball and soccer, and music.
